ICC Mandatory Referral
The Montgomery County Planning Board will hold a public hearing on the mandatory referral for the Intercounty Connector (ICC) on July 13, 2006. The ICC is a proposed 18-mile controlled access toll road connecting I-370 near the Shady Grove Metrorail station to US 1 between Beltsville and Laurel. On May 29, 2006, the Federal Highway Administration's Record of Decision provided the Maryland Department of Transportation, the implementing agency, to proceed with Selected Alternative, Corridor 1.

This draft material forms the basis for the M-NCPPC mandatory referral memorandum of June 29, 2006. The Performance Specifications remain a work in progress by the ICC study team with M-NCPPC participating in iterative reviews and updates at the staff level.
