Historic preservation staffers identify, designate, and regulate historic sites in the county. Staffers evaluate resources listed on the Locational Atlas and Index of Historic Sites for possible inclusion in the Master Plan for Historic Preservation and analyze Historic Area Work Permit applications and proposed development plans.

The Development Review Committee (DRC) is an inter-agency task force comprised of representatives from public agencies and utilities. DRC members discuss applications with planners in monthly meetings. View the Development Review Committee schedule.
