The proposed Clarksburg Water Storage Facility is located on the southwest side of the interchange of I-270 and MD 121 near the proposed employment area in the Cabin Branch development. The elevated water storage tank is to be 750,000 gallon facility to enhance water system adequacy. It will be fenced and gated for security, but periodic access by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) staff will be required for facility and site maintenance. This 24-hour, remotely-operated facility will serve approximately 15,000 people excepted in the WSSC's 760A pressure zone by year 2020.
